Model training is when an AI company uses what you type — and sometimes what you upload — to improve its product, so your words literally become part of the thing you're using.
Why it matters to your business
It's the default on every consumer AI plan we've reviewed. If your chats contain client names, invoices, or anything private, that material can resurface inside the model for other users.
The catch · what vendors don't say
Opting out today doesn't pull back what was already used — which is why the opt-out belongs on day one, not month six.
