I've scaled a community to 500,000 users, co-founded multiple startups, and built AI tools that run without the internet. Most people pick one of those careers. I work where people, business, and code overlap.
The roles have varied. The thread hasn't: building systems that connect people to technology at scale, in a way that respects both.
Architected and scaled a global professional community from zero to over half a million active users — and built the governance, moderation, and infrastructure that kept it healthy at that scale.
Co-founded and led across multiple startups — as CTO, VP of Technology, and founder. Built bespoke platforms, a dedicated LMS, native iOS and Android apps, and the engineering process to ship them reliably. Same thread each time: strategy, architecture, and product held together through launch.
Created Mindwire — Forge, Bridge, and Stream — free, privacy-first applications that run entirely on-device with zero external API calls. Practical software and a live portfolio of the philosophy I sell.
Masterminded a national distribution strategy and custom CRM that took a product category to #1 in per-capita sales globally — the commercial side of the same skillset.
I don't separate business problems from technical problems or people problems. I look for the pattern that runs through them. What looks like a technical gap is often a communication problem, or a misaligned incentive. Real constraints hide in the connections.
I move between the whiteboard and the code editor. Strategy that doesn't survive implementation isn't strategy; implementation without direction is just busy work. I'm comfortable holding the tension — between speed and safety, ambition and realism — without forcing a shallow compromise.
And I care about trust: inside teams, between organizations and their users, and in the tools we hand to people who don't get to be "early adopters" by choice. Everything I build stays with your team. No vendor lock-in, no proprietary black boxes.
"Most companies are selling you fear and complexity. He cuts through the bullshit and just fixes things. That's what partnership looks like."
"A rare gift for pinpointing opportunities for innovation. He grew an online community past 500,000 members."
"His strategic acumen and deep understanding of web-based solutions gave us a real edge in the market."
"He enhances the productivity of an organization by making comfort zones intellectually uncomfortable."
"A thorough, strategic thinker. Strong analytical and comparative skills — a real edge."
Twenty years in engineering leadership, now helping small and mid-size businesses put AI to work without handing their data to a cloud. If you'd rather I build it than you learn it, let's talk.
